RAGING LION STUDIOS was started on a whim in late 2006 by Geoff Stevens. If you ask him where he got the name, to this day not even he knows. But it was the basic blueprint of his previous studios that led to the creation of probably his most bold (albeit strangest) studio to date.

3D0 ANIMATION STUDIOS, started in late 2003, was what is known as the very humble beginnings of RLS. During this time, Geoff created animations using a program called Microsoft Powerpoint (Yes, the Office program). They were very crude, badly drawn animations that shall never be seen again by human eyes. Later though, Geoff got his hands on a program called Flash MX (which at the time was the most POWERFUL version of Flash to date) and Geoff continued making crappily drawn movies that had a little bit more animation prowess attached to it. After Geoff scoured the internet though, he found that the name 3D0 (where he had know idea where the name came from, seeing a trend here?) was the name of a video game system that was no longer in production. Not wanting to feel like he had copied someone, Black Forest Animation Studios was crafted.

BLACK FOREST ANIMATION STUDIOS was probably the closest resemblance to Raging Lion Studios. While it didn't make too many animations, it did create a few that were made primarily for school projects. Eventually though, Geoff strayed away from animation and really focused on crafting websites. Seeking a more professional look and feel, Geoff dropped the name of Black Forest Animation Studios, created a new name called 'Raging Lion Studios', and here we are today. Almost all of these studios had an influence on how RLS came to be--and it wouldn't be possible for RLS to exsist if 3d0 and Black Forest didn't exsist first.

Now if only Geoff could remember where the name Raging Lion Studios came from, everything would be quite alright.
